What is a Microcurrent Non-Surgical Face Lift?
The CACI Synergy microcurrent face lift is a non-invasive alternative to Botox or Fillers with no downtime. By passing a low level of electricity that mirrors your body’s own natural electrical current through your skin, the microcurrent lifts, sculpts and tightens facial muscles, providing immediate results.
Results include a more toned face and neck, reduced double chin, lifting of eyebrows, and over-hanging eyelids, lifted corners of the mouth and jawline and reduced brow furrows.
No. Because a very low level of electricity is used there is no pain during or after a microcurrent face lift.
There are some contraindications for having the microcurrent face lift. You should not consider microcurrent facial if you have facial cancer as this treatment increases the lymphatic circulation and cancer can spread through the lymphatic system. If you have a pacemaker, metal fillers, metal plates or pins, this may also prevent a microcurrent facial from being performed. You should not have a microcurrent facial if you are pregnant. If you have open sores or wounds on your face (including eczema) you should wait until you are fully healed.
What is a Chemical Peel?
Chemical peels are an accelerated form of exfoliation that, instead of using abrasion, use liquids with active ingredients that penetrate the skin to remove dead skin cells, tone and improve skin texture. There are many different types of peels, each designed for individual skin conditions.
Chemical peels are used for skin rejuvenation on the face, neck, hands or chest. They are also known to reduce acne scaring, reverse skin damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, remove hyperpigmentation and improve other signs of ageing.
At Beauty Secret we use Ekseption PHA peels, also known as ‘no-peel peels’. They are the latest advancement in superficial chemical peels. PHA’s are just as effective as AHA and BHA, however they cause less irritation compared to other acids and have been found to be compatible with clinically sensitive skin, including dermatitis and rosacea. PHA’s have the ability to prevent moisture loss in the skin and offer both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits.
Because Ekseption PHA peels don’t cause peeling skin, there is no downtime, the active ingredients continue to do their work with no need for you to stop yours.
No. There is no pain during or after treatment with a no-peel peel
There are some contraindications for having a PHA peel. If your skin is in an active phase of skin disease such as hyperkeratosis or acne PHA peels should be avoided. If you have an acute viral infection such as herpes or papilloma, or any open wound, if you have a fever, sunburned skin or are pregnant or breastfeeding PHA peels should be avoided.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a deep exfoliation technique that uses a specially-designed razor to remove dead skin cells powerfully but gently, with the added bonus of removing ‘peach fuzz’ for hyper-smooth skin. At Beauty Secret we offer the addition of a Caviar peel, Caviar mask and Caviar Repair Cream to achieve even greater anti-ageing results, maximum collagen boost and hydration of your skin.
Following your dermaplaning treatment your skin will look and feel extremely smooth, refreshed and fuzz free.
No. You won’t need anaesthetic or feel any pain during dermaplaning treatment.
Yes. The specially engineered, single-use razor is designed to protect your skin.
Your skin may look slightly red for a few hours following dermaplaning, but there is no serious downtime and you can carry on with your normal activities.
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a deep exfoliation treatment that removes the upper layer of the skin with abrasion. At Beauty Secret we use one of the most effective treatments available: diamond microdermabrasion, which uses tips coated in diamonds particles.
The diamond peel removes the upper layer of the skin whilst vacuuming away any dirt and dead skin cells.
The removal of the upper layer of the skin promotes even healing and the growth of healthy new skin, leaving a smooth skin texture with improved elasticity and collagen production. Diamond microdermabrasion is effective for the reduction of acne scars, minor fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, age spots and hyperpigmentation.
No. You won’t need anaesthetic or feel any pain during your diamond microdermabrasion treatment.
Yes. It should, however, be avoided if you have broken or damaged skin that is in the healing process.
Microdermabrasion is completely painless and won’t make your skin visibly peel, allowing clients to resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. It is true ‘lunch time’ peel.
